Historia y arquitectura

Nice little castle to visit. In my opinion it’s a bit overpriced for what you get to see. Only few rooms are open, consisting of three floors. Half of it is closed for public view. It won’t take you long to go around it. You probably will be pushing yourself to spend 1 hour inside. Garden is nice, but not that big also. I enjoyed the visit, but would not come back for the price paid to enter. It’s simply not worth it.

A great castle to visit with stunning views and great walks. Not dog friendly inside the house as expected but dogs are welcome in the grounds and on the woodland trails. Inside the castle gives a great view of life as it would have been for it's inhabitants and is extremely informative. The staff working in the rooms are highly knowledgeable and keen to pass it on. The cafe is a great addition and the selection of cake was great. Well worth it!

Inveraray Castle is a country house near Inveraray in the county of Argyll, in western Scotland, on the shore of Loch Fyne, Scotland's longest sea loch. It is one of the earliest examples of Gothic Revival architecture. It has been the seat of the Dukes of Argyll, chiefs of Clan Campbell, since the 18th century. you can buy the tickets on spot, no wait time, spring is the best time to enjoy the history and the beautiful garden at the same time. the cafe and the gift shop are good

Ridiculous opulence. Interesting to see where Downton Abbey scene was filmed with cousin Shrimpy. Scotland is full of castles. If you only visit a couple, we highly recommend this one. Full of beauty and stories old and newer. Modest fee is a great value.

Well maintained castle and a pleasant journey up the loch Lomond. The Cafe is also nice to visit within the castle. Castle gardens was a bit untidy but overall a good time spent here ..Needs about 2-3 hrs to complete. Have Oban and Glencoe to cover after a trip here

It’s ok for the cost. Good details and lots of history, however you only get to see about 1/4 of the castle…which isn’t original, it was rebuilt in the 1800’s…it’s more of a fancy tour of an old museum.
